Common quick fixes

  • Screen stays black on Pi: check the HDMI port you used — on Pi 4/5 use the port next to the power jack, and re-seat both cables.
  • Touch not responding: the USB touch cable must be connected; on DSI models re-seat the ribbon with contacts facing the board.
  • Wrong resolution: pick the native resolution in Raspberry Pi Configuration → Display, or add a custom mode line per the manual.
